When Times Get Tough, What Advice Would You Give To Someone Who Needs It?

To answer one of your questions, I would say when times get tough, I would remind myself or others to have faith and trust in the Lord. He knows everything about our circumstances and our future. I know He is with us always, and that He has a plan for us.

What Inspired You To Be In Leadership?

To answer another question, I would say I chose to be part of leadership by being a Deacon, because in my job as an Educational Assistant,  I am a teacher’s helper , so by being a deacon, I am helping the Elders in the church, so that the elders can focus on teaching God‘s word. So it is a way that I can serve God.

What Bible Chapter Would You Recommend for People Who Are New to Christianity?

I would recommend that new Christians start with the reading of the gospel of John. It is a great introduction to the life of Jesus as the Son of God. I would also advise new Christians to join a Bible study where they can ask questions and grow in their knowledge of God and his word.

When Times Get Tough, What Advice Would You Give to Someone Who Needs It?

For people going through difficult life experiences, I would strongly encourage them to draw spiritual strength from Almighty God through prayer and the reading of the Bible (God’s Word). I would also suggest that they connect with other Christians for guidance and emotional support in order to get through the challenges they face.

If You Could Meet One Apostle From The Bible, Who Would It Be? And Why?

I’d meet the apostle Andrew—not just because we share a name, but because of his quiet impact. Often overshadowed by his brother Peter, Andrew was the one who brought him to Jesus and faithfully followed throughout the ministry and beyond. He embraced a humble role, prioritizing others over recognition.

Church tradition holds that most apostles, including Andrew, were martyred for boldly preaching Jesus’ message. Despite staying out of the spotlight, Andrew showed courage, persistence, and conviction. His story highlights the power of humility, steady faith, and the often-overlooked voices that carry deep insight.

What Bible Chapter Would You Recommend To For People Who Are New To Christianity?

Romans 5 is a strong starting point for new Christians. It highlights our new standing with God, the gift of grace through Jesus, and the universal offer of salvation. It also shows how our lives shift from sin to righteousness and encourages believers to share this freely. While other chapters may fit specific situations, Romans 5 clearly captures the core foundations of Christian faith.

What Inspired You To Be In Leadership?

The simple answer to this question is the Holy Spirit has led me to be in leadership at Bethel. But I must add that previous elders were an inspiration, as I admired their quiet spirit and calm demeanor. They were always “Leading with love” here at Bethel. My hope was to emulate this love in my leadership role.

What’s Your Favorite Hobby?

At this stage of my life, I have two hobbies. Lately I have been playing Pickleball once a week and enjoying it. I also enjoy playing Golf in the nicer weather, even though I am not very good at it. I don’t get out as often as I would like, but when I do, I enjoy walking the course and taking in the outdoors. I also have fun jumping on the trampoline with my Grandchildren.
